Karnataka Assembly Election Result 2023 LIVE UPDATES:  The Congress achieved a historical win in Karnataka - a morale booster party was looking post-Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra. The Grand old party, as per the latest trends, is leading at more than 130 constituencies in a 223-member strong assembly. The incumbent BJP is a distant second, with leads at 65 seats. The voting passed off peacefully in Karnataka with a voting turnout of 73.19 per cent, surpassing the 72.36 per cent recorded in 2018. A total of 737 Theme-based and ethnic Model Polling stations were set up. At 239 Polling stations set up in the state, voters were greeted by PwD staff. As part of the initiative of the Election Commission of India (ECI) to inspire young voters to participate in the festival of democracy, 286 Polling Stations set up were managed by the youngest available staff. BJP will cross the magic figure, says K'taka CM Bommai

Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Friday reiterated that the BJP is all set to cross the magic number and will get the majority. "Congress will not get the majority, and hence the leaders of the party are talking to others," he underlined. Speaking to reporters in Bengaluru, CM Bommai stated the Congress does not have trust in its own members. "I have been saying one thing from the beginning. We will get a clear majority. We believe a comfortable victory will be achieved, and we will cross the limit of seats required for majority," he said. 
"We have got information from every booth as well as every constituency from across the state and gathered inputs from the ground," he said. "I \have called high command and informed them about the ground realities here. The high command leaders have also expressed their confidence in winning the elections and formation of the BJP government," CM Bommai maintained.
