New Delhi: The Meenakshi Amman Temple administration on Saturday (December 11) said that only fully COVID-19 vaccinated persons will be allowed to enter the temple in Madurai from December 13.

"One week`s time has been given to people to get at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine, failing which those unvaccinated people to be not allowed to enter public places like hotels, shopping malls and other commercial establishments," the District Collector had said

The bodies of five more armed forces personnel, killed in the IAF chopper crash near Coonoor, were identified and they are being transported to their respective home towns, military officials said on Saturday.
Efforts to "positively identify" remaining mortal remains are continuing, they said.
The armed forces personnel whose bodies were identified in the last few hours are Junior Warrant Officer (JWO) Pradeep, Wing Commander PS Chauhan, JWO Rana Pratap Das, Lance Naik B Sai Teja and Lance Naik Vivek Kumar. "The mortal remains of the five personnel were released to close family members this morning," said a senior military official.
Jammu and Kashmir`s Poonch district has administered 96 per cent of its eligible population with the second dose of the vaccine. "We achieved administering 100 per cent first dose of COVID vaccine on September 25 in the district. 96 per cent of people have taken the second dose. Poonch district is at the first position across the Union Territory in terms of vaccination," Dr Rahul Sharma, Nodal Officer for vaccination drive in the district told ANI.
