NIA conducted simultaneous searches at 7 locations in Bengaluru City, Karnataka. Searches were conducted at premises of seven  absconding charge sheeted accused persons in RC-34/2020/NIA/DLI  and RC-35/2020/NIA/DLI.

The Central Bureau of Investigation has registered a case on a complaint from Central Bank of India on behalf of 10 consortium member banks against Shree Laxmi Cotsyn Ltd, a Private Company and others including its Directors , Unknown Public Servants and unknown others for causing an alleged loss of Rs.6833.82 crore (approx) to the lender banks.

NDRF conducted rescue operation in Soda area of Guna. "River water entered the residential area. Administration & NDRF team reached the spot late last night. In the morning, around 200 people were rescued in boats & helicopter," said Vivek Raghuvanshi, ADM.

India: Heavy rains lashed several parts of Delhi in the early hours of Saturday. The Indian Meteorological Department had predicted that thunderstorms and moderate to heavy rains would take place in the parts of Delhi-NCR.

India: "Over 80 cr citizens have been provided free ration in this duration. Not just wheat, rice or pulses but over 8 crore poor families were even provided free gas cylinders during lockdown. Over 20 cr women received around Rs 30,000 crores directly in their Jan Dhan bank accounts," said PM Modi.

Jammu and Kashmir: An unidentified terrorist was killed in an encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Budgam district on Saturday, while another escaped cordon but was arrested in Pulwama, police said. The forces had launched a cordon-and-search operation in the Mochuwa area of Budgam, following inputs about the presence of ultras there, a police official said.

"One terrorist was killed in the encounter. An AK assault rifle and a pistol were recovered from him," the official said.

Mumbai: Order on businessman & actor Shilpa Shetty's husband Raj Kundra's anticipatory bail application in Sessions Court will not be pronounced today due to unavailability of the concerned judge. Kundra has filed this plea in Maharashtra cyber's case of pornography. (ANI)

"The Chief Minister said that the state is proud of Uttarakhand`s daughter and Indian women`s hockey team player Vandana Kataria stellar performance at the Tokyo Olympic Games, in recognition of this, she would be given a cash reward of Rs 25 lakh," informed the Chief Minister Office. Delhi: Delhi-NCR is likely to get some relief from sweltering heat and high humidity as the MeT has forecast possibility of rain and thundershowers in and around Delhi. World: The global coronavirus caseload has topped 201 million, while the deaths have surged to more than 4.27 million and vaccinations soared to over 4.34 billion, according to the Johns Hopkins University.

Maharashtra: As many as 30 people across Maharashtra`s Nashik have been infected with Delta variant of COVID-19, informed Nashik District Hospital on Friday. "30 people have been infected with Delta variant in Nashik. 28 patients are from rural areas. 2 patients are from Gangapur and Sadique Nagar. Several patients are from Sinnar, Yeola, Nandgaon, Niphad etc. as well" said Dr Kishore Shrinivas, surgeon at the Nashik District Hospital. (ANI)
