A group of members of Makkal Needhi Maiam took part in farmers' protest at Singhu border today. Mugambika Ratnam, MNM said, "We're standing in solidarity with farmers of Haryana&Punjab. We're here to show the support of farmers from Tamil Nadu. New farm laws should be repealed." (ANI)

Samajwadi Party has come out in support of farmers and their call for Bharat Bandh on December 8.  SP President Akhilesh Yadav will hit the road tomorrow in support of farmers and will take a tractor journey with farmers from Mandi to Kisan Bazaar in Kannauj, UP. Akhilesh Yadav has lend his support to all the demands of the farmers.

Union minister Kailash Chaudhary accused Congress of misleading farmers against central farm laws. He stated that the government will consider to amend some provisions of new farm laws.

A protesting farmer at Singhu border told Zee News that they are ready to return to their homes if the government agrees to their demands on the farm laws. 

According to reports, at least 10 doctors are present at Singhu border. Farmers protesting at Delhi borders are mostly elderly citizens and hence, chances of them getting infected with coronavirus and facing other health issues are high. 

Dr Harnam Singh, a physician from Mohali, said that some of the protesting farmers at Singhu border are suffering from high blood pressure and other health issues.
