Himachal Assembly Election 2022: 65.92% polling turnout recorded in the state, highest 72.35% in Sirmour
Voting for Himachal Pradesh Assembly Elections 2022 concluded at 5 p.m on Saturday, the hill state recorded 65.92% turnout. The highest polling of 72.35% was recorded in Sirmour district followed by 68.48% in Solan.

Shimla: Himachal assembly elections began today, November 12. More than 55 lakh voters in the hill state will decide the fate of 412 candidates, including Chief Minister Jairam Thakur, former CM Virbhadhra Singh's son Vikramaditya Singh and former BJP chief Satpal Singh Satti, in the elections in 68 constituencies across the state.

Voting for Himachal Pradesh Assembly Elections 2022 concluded at 5 p.m on Saturday, the hill state recorded 65.92% turnout. The highest polling of 72.35% was recorded in Sirmour district followed by 68.48% in Solan and 67.67 per cent in Una and 67.5 per cent in Lahaul and Spiti.
Shillai recorded the highest 77 per cent turnout while Sarkaghat recorded the lowest 55.40 per cent, among the 68 assembly constituencies in the hill state, the poll panel said.

Seraj constituency in Mandi district from where Chief Minister Jairam Thakur is contesting and Sujanpur recorded 74 per cent polling, according to the provisional figures. Among the other constituencies, Anni recorded polling of 63.65 per cent, Arki 66 per cent, Churah 60.83 per cent and Dalhousie 63 per cent.
Himachal Vidhan Sabha Chunav Timings
Voting timings for the Himachal assembly polls are from 8 AM to 5 PM on Saturday (November 12). the Election Commission has set up a total of 7,884 polling stations including three auxiliary polling stations in far flung areas. Of these, there are 789 vulnerable booths and 397 critical ones.

Himachal Pradesh Polls: Highest poll booth
The EC has also set up its highest booth in Tashigang in Kaza in the Spiti area of Lahaul Spiti district of the state at a height of 15,256 feet and would cater to 52 voters.
