Atul Subhash Suicide Case: Following the arrest of Bengaluru techie Atul Subhash's wife and in-laws on Sunday, his father has expressed concern about the safety of his grandson and said that he wants him to be with the family.

The 34-year-old techie ended his life on Monday, alleging harassment at the hands of his estranged wife and her family. The wife and in-laws of the 34-year-old techie were arrested and sent to judicial custody, news agency ANI reported on Sunday.

Reacting to the arrest of Subhash's wife and in-laws, his father thanked the police for the action and urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar and other leaders to ensure that the grandson comes back to him.

Speaking to news agency ANI, the Bengaluru techie's father said that he is still waiting for justice despite wife's arrest as a new case has been filed against him. "We don't know where she has kept our grandson. Has he been killed or is he alive? We don't know anything about him. I want my grandson to be with us...I thank the police for arresting the accused...The judge (of the accused) was corrupt...I still haven't got justice as a case has been filed against me," he said.

"A new case has been filed against me in the name of my grandson...We appeal to PM Modi, UP CM Yogi Adityanath, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav and other leaders to ensure that my grandson comes to me...For a grandfather, his grandson means more than his son...The whole society, people are standing in my support," he further stated.

Accused Nikita Singhania has been arrested from Gurugram in Haryana, and the other accused, Nisha Singhania and Anurag Singhania, were arrested from Uttar Pradesh's Prayagraj. Shivakumar, DCP White Field Division, Bengaluru, said that they were produced before the court and given to judicial custody.

Subhash, 34, was found hanging in his house at Bengaluru’s Munnekolalu on December 9. He left behind lengthy videos and notes, blaming his wife and in-laws for driving him to suicide through "false" cases and "persistent torture".

Bikas Kumar, the brother of Subhash, also spoke to mediapersons in Samastipur, demanding that the “false cases” registered against them be withdrawn. “The others behind this incident should also be arrested. We will not get justice till all false cases registered against us are withdrawn. We will not immerse the ashes of my brother till we get justice. Our fight will continue,” he asserted.

“I am equally concerned about my nephew (son of Subhash). His safety is a matter of serious concern for us. We have not seen him in recent photographs. I want to know his whereabouts through the media. We want his custody as early as possible,” added Bikas Kumar.
