Dr Subhash Chandra speaks at Zee 24 Taas Ananya Samman, Marathi version of 'The Z Factor' to be launched shortly

Mumbai: Essel Group Chairman and Rajya Sabha MP Dr Subhash Chandra on Friday called for a change in the current approach towards the pressing challenges faced by the country.

Speaking at the Zee 24 Taas Ananya Samman event, Dr Chandra said, “In the times to come our political system should work towards capacity building and to make people self-dependent rather than keeping them dependent on doles like subsidies. This will ensure a bright future for our country,” adding that Zee Ananya Samman shares this vision.

Dr Chandra was speaking ahead of the launch of the Marathi version of his autobiography 'The Z Factor - My Journey as the Wrong Man at the Right Time'.

Dr Chandra said that Zee Network is the clear No 1 in Maharashtra with a 70% market share. In total 15 crore people watch Zee Network across the globe, he said.

'The Z Factor' was originally launched in English in 2016. Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi had personally unveiled the book on January 20, 2016, at his official residence 7 Lok Kalyan Marg.
