Malad West: A massive fire broke out in a flat located on the third floor in suburbs of Mumbai's Malad West Sewri area on Saturday (December 3). Four fire engines reached the spot on receiving info and controlled the fire. Eight people have been reported injured and have been admitted to the nearest hospital for the required treatment. No casualties have been reported until now. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) stated that the fire broke out in a closed room on the third floor of the 22-storey building of Marina Enclave building in Jankalyan Nagar. The incident was reported at 11:04 am, and the fire was extinguished at 11:15 am, the civic body stated. The cause of the fire is being ascertained and further details are awaited, he said.

According to the BMC, the incident was reported by the Mumbai Fire Brigade. ANI took to twitter to share the news. "Maharashtra | Fire breaks out in a building in Jankalyan Nagar in Malad area of Mumbai. Five fire tenders present at the spot. No injuries reported so far. Details awaited." read the tweet. 

The video of the massive fire breakout has surfaced all across social media platforms and has garnered attention of netizens. 

In one of the videos shared on social media, a resident was seen trying to jump out of the window. As quoted by Mid-day, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said that the fire reportedly started in a room on the third floor of a residential building in Malad.
