Former Telangana Chief Minister and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) chief K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) reportedly fell down in his farmhouse in Erravalli last night and suffered an injury following which he had to be admitted. As per reports, he has been admitted to Yashoda Hospital. After the defeat in the state assembly poll, KCR has been at home and meeting people. Telangana went to vote on November 30. In 2018, BRS (then Telangana Rashtra Samithi) won 88 of the 119 seats and had a 47.4 per cent vote share. The Congress came a distant second with 19 seats. But the scenes changed in 2023 with Congress winning the Assembly Elections by bagging 164 seats out of 119 as against the BRS's 39. On Thursday, Congress leader Anumula Revanth Reddy took oath as the Chief Minister of Telangana. Reddy became the first Congress chief minister of the state that was created in 2014. Revanth Reddy is seen as a strong critic of K Chandrashekar Rao and was a face of the Congress poll effort in the state and ran a spirited campaign.
