Lucknow fire claimes 2 lives, 18 people evacuated; 15 still trapped inside hotel

Residents are trapped in a fire in a hotel in Lucknow. The hotel is in the Hazratganj area of Lucknow. The scene of fire in the hotel has been captured in a video released by news agency ANI. It shows black smoke coming out from all sides of the hotel. Several fire engines reached the spot. The fire broke out on four floors of the well-furnished five-Storey hotel. Firefighters were also seen pulling unconscious residents out of hotel windows.

9 people have been admitted to Dr.Shyama Prasad Mukherjee (Civil) Hospital so far; 2 dead. Chief Medical Superintendent of Civil Hospital Dr RP Singh said, "7 people have been admitted so far. While two people arrived dead." Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reaches hospital. He took cognizance of the fire that broke out at Levana Hotel in Lucknow. The Chief Minister has directed the officials of the district administration to provide proper treatment to the injured. Along with this, the District Magistrate and senior police officials were instructed to reach the spot immediately and speed up the relief and rescue work. About five or six people are likely to still be trapped inside the three-storey building, authorities informed.
