New Delhi: The Congress on Tuesday released its manifesto for the upcoming assembly elections in Rajasthan, promising to conduct a caste survey, provide interest-free loans up to Rs 2 lakh to farmers and create 10 lakh job opportunities. The party also promised to recruit at the panchayat level and enact a special law to implement MSP as per the recommendations of the Swaminathan Commission.

The Congress also pledged to increase the annual amount given to beneficiaries under the Chiranjeevi Health Insurance Scheme from Rs 25 lakh to Rs 50 lakh and provide interest-free loan of up to Rs 5 lakh to small traders, shopkeepers and young entrepreneurs.

The manifesto was released by party president Mallikarjun Kharge, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, PCC chief Govind Singh Dotasra, chairman of the manifesto committee CP Joshi, former deputy CM Sachin Pilot and other leaders at the PCC office here. Joshi said that the party will ensure MSP as per the Swaminathan Commission’s recommendations. Rajasthan will go to polls on November 25 and the results will be declared on December 3.

Addressing the launch event, Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot said, "...The way in which we have managed the financial situation of Rajasthan, the people of Rajasthan will feel proud about it... The per capita income has increased by 46.48 per cent in Rajasthan. Till 2030, it is our dream to achieve the number-one position in per capita income. In 2020–21, the state GDP reached 19.50, which is the highest in the decade..."

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge during the launch of the party manifesto vowed to fulfill the promises mentioned in party's manifesto. 

"We fulfill the promises we make... If any party does 90 per cent of what is said in the manifesto, then this is a big achievement for Rajasthan and the Congress party...", he said.
