Australia will be pretty happy with their batting performance. Although they did lose Cameron Green early on, David Warner was on song from the very first ball. Warner and Aaron Finch added 85 runs to the total before Finch was dismissed and Warner too fell on 75 off just 41 balls. Tim David also scored a quickfire 42 off 20 balls and he along with Steven Smith built a half-century stand to help Australia go past the 175-run mark.
David Warner is up for a chat. He says that the Windies' bowlers have closed out the innings well but is happy with the total. Reckons the pitch is a bit sluggish and the ball isn't coming onto the bat. On Tim David, warner says that he hits the ball a long way. Ends by saying that 180 is a par score on this wicket and the Powerplay will set the tone for them.
Right then, Australia have posted a decent total on the board and with their bowling attack they will be confident enough to defend this one. West Indies, on the other hand need their batters to step up and they need to utilise the Powerplay well. Will they be able to chase this down? Or will the Aussies defend and seal the series 2-0? West Indies bowled well but in patches and they were not disciplined enough as well. They looked a bit out of ideas when David Warner was batting and once he got out it was Tim David who punished them badly. However, they did pull things back a bit at the end. Alzarri Joseph was the pick of the bowler with 3 wickets for 21 runs in his four overs. Obed McCoy picked up a couple as well and Odean Smith got one wicket too. Their batters now have a tough task of chasing this total down against
Australia have managed to get to a really good total of 178 runs but at one point they could have pushed for 200 as well. They will take it though and West Indies will be a bit disappointed with their effort and they know that they have to put on a good batting effort to chase this down.

Australia will be pretty happy with their batting performance. Although they did lose Cameron Green early on, David Warner was on song from the very first ball. Warner and Aaron Finch added 85 runs to the total before Finch was dismissed and Warner too fell on 75 off just 41 balls. Tim David also scored a quickfire 42 off 20 balls and he along with Steven Smith built a half-century stand to help Australia go past the 175-run mark.
David Warner is up for a chat. He says that the Windies' bowlers have closed out the innings well but is happy with the total. Reckons the pitch is a bit sluggish and the ball isn't coming onto the bat. On Tim David, warner says that he hits the ball a long way. Ends by saying that 180 is a par score on this wicket and the Powerplay will set the tone for them.
Right then, Australia have posted a decent total on the board and with their bowling attack they will be confident enough to defend this one. West Indies, on the other hand need their batters to step up and they need to utilise the Powerplay well. Will they be able to chase this down? Or will the Aussies defend and seal the series 2-0? West Indies bowled well but in patches and they were not disciplined enough as well. They looked a bit out of ideas when David Warner was batting and once he got out it was Tim David who punished them badly. However, they did pull things back a bit at the end. Alzarri Joseph was the pick of the bowler with 3 wickets for 21 runs in his four overs. Obed McCoy picked up a couple as well and Odean Smith got one wicket too. Their batters now have a tough task of chasing this total down against
Australia have managed to get to a really good total of 178 runs but at one point they could have pushed for 200 as well. They will take it though and West Indies will be a bit disappointed with their effort and they know that they have to put on a good batting effort to chase this down.

... THE RUN CHASE ...
Australia will be pretty happy with their batting performance. Although they did lose Cameron Green early on, David Warner was on song from the very first ball. Warner and Aaron Finch added 85 runs to the total before Finch was dismissed and Warner too fell on 75 off just 41 balls. Tim David also scored a quickfire 42 off 20 balls and he along with Steven Smith built a half-century stand to help Australia go past the 175-run mark.
David Warner is up for a chat. He says that the Windies' bowlers have closed out the innings well but is happy with the total. Reckons the pitch is a bit sluggish and the ball isn't coming onto the bat. On Tim David, warner says that he hits the ball a long way. Ends by saying that 180 is a par score on this wicket and the Powerplay will set the tone for them.
Right then, Australia have posted a decent total on the board and with their bowling attack they will be confident enough to defend this one. West Indies, on the other hand need their batters to step up and they need to utilise the Powerplay well. Will they be able to chase this down? Or will the Aussies defend and seal the series 2-0? West Indies bowled well but in patches and they were not disciplined enough as well. They looked a bit out of ideas when David Warner was batting and once he got out it was Tim David who punished them badly. However, they did pull things back a bit at the end. Alzarri Joseph was the pick of the bowler with 3 wickets for 21 runs in his four overs. Obed McCoy picked up a couple as well and Odean Smith got one wicket too. Their batters now have a tough task of chasing this total down against
Australia have managed to get to a really good total of 178 runs but at one point they could have pushed for 200 as well. They will take it though and West Indies will be a bit disappointed with their effort and they know that they have to put on a good batting effort to chase this down.

Australia will be pretty happy with their batting performance. Although they did lose Cameron Green early on, David Warner was on song from the very first ball. Warner and Aaron Finch added 85 runs to the total before Finch was dismissed and Warner too fell on 75 off just 41 balls. Tim David also scored a quickfire 42 off 20 balls and he along with Steven Smith built a half-century stand to help Australia go past the 175-run mark.
David Warner is up for a chat. He says that the Windies' bowlers have closed out the innings well but is happy with the total. Reckons the pitch is a bit sluggish and the ball isn't coming onto the bat. On Tim David, warner says that he hits the ball a long way. Ends by saying that 180 is a par score on this wicket and the Powerplay will set the tone for them.
Right then, Australia have posted a decent total on the board and with their bowling attack they will be confident enough to defend this one. West Indies, on the other hand need their batters to step up and they need to utilise the Powerplay well. Will they be able to chase this down? Or will the Aussies defend and seal the series 2-0? West Indies bowled well but in patches and they were not disciplined enough as well. They looked a bit out of ideas when David Warner was batting and once he got out it was Tim David who punished them badly. However, they did pull things back a bit at the end. Alzarri Joseph was the pick of the bowler with 3 wickets for 21 runs in his four overs. Obed McCoy picked up a couple as well and Odean Smith got one wicket too. Their batters now have a tough task of chasing this total down against
Australia have managed to get to a really good total of 178 runs but at one point they could have pushed for 200 as well. They will take it though and West Indies will be a bit disappointed with their effort and they know that they have to put on a good batting effort to chase this down.
