New Delhi: We all have felt it. That desperate need of one short nap after long working hours when it becomes nearly impossible for us to stare at our desktop. And just to combat drowsiness during office hours, we generally increase our daily dose of caffeine intake.

There is no doubt that a cup of coffee or tea in the morning gives an ultimate blast of refreshment but drinking two-three cups of tea in a day is an absolute no-no for our health.

So, let's have a look on some easy yet effective methods to keep ourselves energized all day long at office:

Avoid eating carbs and protein together:

Both require entirely different sets of enzymes to digest. A combination of both can lead to a lot of digestive difficulty and also waste energy that will ultimately slow down your work pace. So try to pair proteins with vegetables or carbohydrates with vegetables to satisfy your energy demand.

Lighter lunch:

Some carrot sticks with fruit shake or a bowl of green salad or green thick smootheis, that's all you need for a lighter lunch. A calorie-less lunch is the best way to keep yourself active.

Stop sugar:

Say bye to sugar-coated and sugar-loaded evening snacks. These contains some complex carbohydrates that takes a lot of time to digest.

Try some workouts:

This technique not only gives relife from drowsiness but also offers some amazing health blessings. For instance, cycling or a brisk walk for an hour activates your brain muscles and increases your concentration.
