Rupani using police to attack Congress leaders in Gujarat: Rahul Gandhi

Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi on Sunday alleged that three party leaders were attacked by policemen in poll-bound Gujarat. Taking to Twitter, the Congress leader alleged that Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani was resorting to such means as he feared defeat in the state assembly elections.

Aiming at Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief Amit Shah, the Gandhi scion used the word “Shah-kaal”, saying there was reign of terror and corruption in Gujarat.

According to the Congress vice president, party candidates Indranil Rajguru, Mitul Donga and Rajeev Saatav were attacked by the police.

Meanwhile, continuing his series of questions for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Rahul Gandhi on Sunday tweeted his fifth question. His question was based on the issue health, education and safety of women in Gujarat.

Rahul alleged that women of Gujarat were neither provided security nor education nor proper nutrition in their state and that they faced only exploitation. He said that Anganwadi workers and health workers of Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA) have been disappointed in the home state of the Prime Minister.

He also accused PM Modi of not fulfilling promises he made to women of the poll-bound state.

The Congress leader has decided to ask one question daily to the Prime Minister in order to corner the ruling BJP in poll-bound Gujarat. He has been attacking the PM over his development claims in the poll-bound Gujarat.

This was announced recently by Congress chief spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala who said that Rahul would ask a question to the Prime Minister every day. "Rahul Gandhi is asking a question every day, why did misgovernance of 22 years create such a situation," he had tweeted on Wednesday.

He said he would demand answers for 22 years of Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) rule in the state and the promises made to the people.
