- Elvis Gomes, a former bureaucrat, is the chief ministerial candidate from Goa representing AAP. He has contested from Cuncolim constituency of South Goa.

- The 53-year-old was initially posted in Mumbai, however, switched to Goa under the Goa Civil Service. Gomes opted for voluntary retirement in September 2016, after being ‘sidelined’ by the ruling BJP government.
- Reportedly, AAP has already named Gomes as the next Goa CM who is contested by Subhash Alias Rajan K Naik representing BJP.
