Xiaomi Mi Band 2 launched in India at Rs 1,999; comes with heart rate sensor

New Delhi: Chinese tech giant Xiaomi has finally launched the 2nd Generation fitness tracker Mi Band 2 in India pricing it competitively at just Rs 1,999.

Equipped with new features such as OLED display, heart rate sensor, the Mi Band 2 will on sale on Mi.com starting September 27. It will later be available on Amazon India starting September 30.

The Mi Band 2 was launched in China in June this year.

The Band 2 packs a host of improvements over the Mi Band and comes with an all-new OLED display and heart rate sensor.

Like most of the fitness bands, Mi Band 2 focuses on tracking fitness and sleeping pattern.

It's 0.42-inch OLED display shows time, steps taken and heart rate among others.

Packed with a 70mAh battery, the Mi Band 2 promises 20 days of standby time as compared to 30 days with the Mi Band first generation.

Other features of the Mi Band 2 include alert on incoming calls, alarms, notifications, etc.

It is compatible with devices running Android 4.4 and above as well as iOS 7.0 and above.

The Mi Band 2 is water resistant with IP67 certification and comes in Black, Blue, Green, and Orange colours.
