Zoo Atlanta's new Panda cubs to get christened through public voting! - Watch video

New Delhi: Zoo Atlanta has new arrivals! Two adorable panda cubs born on September 3 to their mother Lun Lun and father Yang Yan, are awaiting their christening and the zoo has come up with a fun way of selecting their names – by giving that responsibility to the public.

Yes, in honour of the Chinese New Year, the zoo on Monday announced its plan to invite the public to decide the names of the two furry bundles of joy by way of votes, which will be finalised when the cubs complete a 100 days on December 12, 2016.

To make it easier for the public, Zoo Atlanta has provided a list of names for them to vote on. The poll runs until 11:00 pm on Sunday, December 4. The name options are:

• Ba Lun and Shu Lun
• Jiu Jiu and Yuan Yuan
• Lun Jia and Jia Lun
• Lun Li and Lun Yu
• Ya Lun and Xi Lun
• Ya Lun and Xin Lun
• Yang Hai and Yang Gui

The votes can be cast on the zoo's website where a meaning guide is available.

The winning set will be revealed at the panda twins’ 100 Day Naming Celebration on December 12.
