Nayantara highest paid South actress?

New Delhi: Slowly but steadily actresses are coming closer to their male counterparts in the movies business. A few days back, a lot was said about pay parity in Bollywood, where actresses feel that their remuneration is way too less than what male actors get paid.

Now, according to The Quint.com, South film actress Nayantara has become the highest paid actress in the industry. Interestingly, the difference between the pay package of a Bollywood actress and a South actress is huge.

Popular south face, Nayantara is reportedly getting Rs 3 crore for her next film with actor Vikram. The actress has seen back-to-back box office success with her three films, which has made her the most sought after names down south.

Nayantara has surpassed her contemporaries such as Trisha, Shruti Haasan and Anushka Shetty by charging Rs 3 crore per film.
