Sonu Nigam's latest 'beggar' gimmick inspired by Richard Gere's 'Time Out Of Mind'?

New Delhi: Bollywood singer Sonu Nigam recently received rave reviews for his disguised beggar act where he left his fans speechless with his noble intention.

Disguising himself as a beggar, Nigam strolled the streets of Mumbai with a harmonium. Although many took interest in his singing, none could actually recognise him!

However, did you know that this was actually inspired by a Hollywood actor?

According to a report in Bollywoodlife.com, the whole beggar act of Nigam might have been inspired from Richard Gere's role in 'Time Out of Mind' where he portrayed the role of a mentally unstable homeless man. However, Gere, unlike Nigam , didn't use any props and still went unrecognizable on the streets!

Inspired or not, we sincerely praise the good intention behind Sonu's recent act. No wonder, the amount of love has only increased for this singer ever since this performance!
