Los Angeles: One Direction performed their last concert in the US before going on an extended hiatus and the boy band got emotional as they took their final bow in front of their fans here.

The boys started off their set with "Perfect", and went to perform their new hits like "Drag Me Down" and "Infinity".

They then returned to their old numbers such as "What Makes You Beautiful" and "Story of My Life" before ending the six-song set with "History".

"To be honest with you, this show is kind of an important one for us. This is going to be the last time we'll be performing together in America for a little while. I feel myself getting a little emotional," Liam Payne told the fans.

While there is yet no confirmation on the duration of their break, the group has been saying that the split is temporary.
