Washington: The recent release of 'Power Rangers' movie trailer witnessed sassy teens find their strength as they discover special powered gems from ancient rocks.

The film by Lionsgate and Saban Films shows five high school students named Zack, Kimberly, Billy, Trini and Jason become Power Rangers after they learn that their small town and the world are threatened by an outside force.

In the new teaser, these youngsters are all outcasts in their school before they attain the Power Rangers suit during an adventurous walk to the dark rocks at the city outskirt.

We see the characters covered in electric sparks and the suits start to materialize just before the teaser comes to an end.

The third feature film in the franchise of the same name, 'Power Rangers' stars teens Dacre Montgomery, Naomi Scott, RJ Cyler, Becky G, Ludi Lin and Bill Hader, with Bryan Cranston and Elizabeth Banks.

The American science fiction superhero drama film is directed by Dean Israelite and will hit theaters in March 2017.
