Padmavati: Is this Shahid Kapoor’s look in the period film?

Mumbai: Shahid Kapoor started shooting for his first film with Sanjay Leela Bhansali – Padmavati - on Thursday. The hunk of an actor who will share screen space with Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, took to Instagram to post an image.

We can see a heavily bearded Shahid sporting a bushy moustache. The caption of the pic reads: “Day 1. #padmavati wish me luck guys (sic).”

Sasha, who has been roped in for the role of Raja Rawal Ratan Singh, will be romancing Deepika for the first time on screen. He will also share the frame with Ranveer, who is onboard to play Alauddin Khilji.

The film has been in news since its inception and had landed in trouble supposedly because of a rift between the two male leads. Shahid and Ranveer were believed to have had issues about their respective screen time but following a healthy discussion, things were reportedly sorted out.

Directed by SLB, Padmavati is slated to release on November 17, 2017.
