Michael Fassbender to play two roles in 'Alien: Covenant'
"Covenant" is slated to be released in North America on October 6, 2017.
Los Angeles: Director Ridley Scott has hinted actor Michael Fassbender would play two roles in the sequel to "Prometheus", titled "Alien: Covenant".
Scott, who is currently in Australia scouting locations for "Alien: Covenant", provided new details about the upcoming movie, reported Aceshowbiz.
While it's already known that Fassbender will return as humanoid robot David, the director didn't mention the other role the actor would play.
Scott then confirmed that Noomi Rapace would return in a minor part. He said that casting of the Covenant crew members was in advanced stages, but he refused to reveal some possible names to play the members.
Picking up where "Prometheus" left off, "Covenant" focuses on the crew members of colony ship Covenant discovering "what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world - whose sole inhabitant is the 'synthetic' David (Fassbender), survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition."
Serving as the second chapter in a prequel trilogy that began with "Prometheus" and connects directly to Scott's original "Alien", "Covenant" is slated to be released in North America on October 6, 2017.
