Deepika Padukone to perform Ghoomer in 'Padmavati'? Hot Scoop

New Delhi: One of the most graceful actresses in recent years, Deepika Padukone is all set to return as 'Padmavati' in maverick filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali's yet another period drama.

The film has been in the news ever since it was announced. Firstly, much speculation related to the star cast of the film refused to die down and now the buzz is that Dippy darling will be seen performing a Rajasthani folk dance Ghoomer in the film.

According to Mumbai Mirror, SLB is setting up a grand set in Mumbai's Mehboob Studios, where the film will be shot. Also, it states that the film kickstarts shooting with a song sequence where Deepika will perform a Rajasthani folk style dance called Ghoomer, for which she will soon start prepping-up.

The report further quotes a source as saying that many Rajasthani folk dancers too be flown in and will perform with Deepika.

'Padmavati' will see Deepika play the lead role of Rani Padmavati where as Ranveer Singh will play her obsessive lover Alauddin Khilji.
