Debut tales – Kareena Kapoor shot for this blockbuster but didn’t do the film!

Mumbai: Turns out that Kareena Kapoor was chosen to essay the lead heroine’s role in Hrithik Roshan’s debut film – ‘Kaho Na Pyar Hai’. Ameesha Patel replaced the Kapoor girl who had already started shooting for the film, for reasons best known to the filmmaker.

According to a report in MissMalini.com, originally attributed to a video produced by Film Companion, Kareena Kapoor first shot for Rakesh Roshan’s ‘Kaho Na Pyar Hai’, a film that went on to become a blockbuster.

“My first shot was for Rakesh Roshan in Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai. And it’s still there in the film! It’s there – behind the rock, there’s a scene in a blue sweater and jeans. That’s me, not Ameesha,” Kareena said while talking to Film Companion.

Well, we don’t know what led to Kareena’s exit from the film but we loved her in her debut film ‘Refugee’ opposite Abhishek Bachchan. The JP Dutta film did not do well at the Box Office but established Kareena as an actress who could play a long innings.
