Los Angeles: Hollywood star Johnny Depp's former partner Vanessa Paradis has reportedly written a letter, calling him a "loving, sensitive person", amid allegations by estranged wife Amber Heard that he was physically abusive to her.

Heard shocked one and all when she filed for divorce from Depp last week after just 15 months of marriage. She cited irreconcilable differences in the court documents. The 30-year-old model-actress alleged, "During the entirety of our relationship, Johnny has been verbally and physically abusive to me."

Paradis, who is also mother to 52-year-old Depp's two children, is standing by him in the row, according to TMZ. "Johnny Depp is the father of my two children, he is a sensitive, loving and loved person," Paradis, 43, has allegedly written in the letter obtained.

The letter's authentication is yet to be confirmed and a representative for the French actress has not returned request for comment.

The handwritten letter continues, "I believe with all my heart that these recent allegations made are outrageous, in all the years I have known Johnny he has never been physically abusive with me and this looks nothing like the man I lived with for 14 wonderful years." Earlier, Lily-Rose Depp took to Instagram to give her father support and weigh in on the domestic abuse allegations made by Johnny's soon-to-be ex-wife, Amber Heard.

"My dad is the sweetest most loving person I know," she wrote alongside a throwback photo of her dad holding her as a toddler. "He's been nothing but a wonderful father to my little brother and I, and everyone who knows him would say the same."

Meanwhile, a Los Angeles judge ordered on Friday that Depp stay 100 yards away from Heard and said that the actress was able to stay and live in the family home.
