The year 2015 has been nothing short of a rollercoaster ride for Bollywood superstar - Salman Khan – who has been raking in the moolah at the Box Office since the last six years or so.
However, this year holds greater significance primarily because the hunk of an actor has had both moments of ecstasy to cherish and agony to be forgotten.
The Bollywood titan, has however, had a blissful journey with accomplishments overriding depressing episodes that his ardent fans would want to ignore.
Here’s taking a look at why the year 2015 has been eventful for Salman Khan:
Salman Khan acquitted in the 2002 hit-and-run case:
The Bombay High Court on December 11 acquitted Salman Khan of all the charges in the 2002 hit-and-run case and thus pronounced him a free man.

What had happened earlier in the year?
Sessions Court Judge DW Deshpande said that all charges against the actor in the 2002 hit-and-run case were proved and held him guilty of the tragic death of one of the victims. The court had sentenced Salman Khan to five years in jail. In addition to his 5 years sentencing, the Bollywood actor also faced 2 months imprisonment and a fine of Rs 500 for driving without licence.

Latest on Salman Khan’s Arms Act case:
The Rajasthan High Court on October 27allowed the petition of Salman Khan seeking documents pertaining to the prosecution sanction against him under Arms Act in a case which is an offshoot of the black buck poaching incident of 1998. The court summoned the public prosecutor in the court and ordered him to make the sought documents available to Khan's counsel.
The court had allowed Khan to summon 5 prosecution witnesses for the re-examination, of whom only one, the investigation officer and the then Asst. Superintendent of Police, Ashok Patni, had appeared on September 24.
A case had been registered against Salman Khan by the forest department on October 15, 1998 under Arms Act mentioning that the arms used by Khan during alleged poaching of two black bucks at village Kankani near Jodhpur on the intervening night of 1 -2 October, 1998, had their licences expired and hence he had been using those arms illegally.
Acting on this complaint, the Luni police had registered a case against Khan under Arms Act.
