Los Angeles: The coroner's office has handed late musician Prince's body to his family after completing a four-hour autopsy. Preliminary results indicate that there were no obvious signs of trauma to his body and nothing to back up a suicide.

Martha Weaver, a representative of the medical examiner's office, said the autopsy was complete, but the final result could take weeks due to pending toxicology tests, reports aceshowbiz.com.

They were also collecting Prince's medical records as well as family medical history to complete their investigation.

According to a police official, Prince was discovered slumped in an elevator at his estate in Chanhassen, southwest of Minneapolis on Thursday, and was pronounced dead at the scene. Prince was fully clothed and there were three acquaintances at the scene when the police arrived.

Prince was last seen by an acquaintance who dropped him off at the Paisley Park on Wednesday night after visiting a local Walgreens and waiting on a prescription.
