Mumbai: Dia Mirza issued a statement on her Facebook page Tuesday afternoon to clarify her tweet that read: “The irony of the times we live in: farmers commit suicide due to drought and people waste water to 'play' #Holi.Go ahead call me anti-Hindu (sic).”
The former Miss Asia Pacific drew severe flak for the tweet on social media. And hence, she posted the statement to apologise if her tweet hurt anyone’s sentiments and at the same time talk about plight of farmers in the country hit by drought.
