Jamaican author Marlon James has won 2015 Man Booker Prize for his book 'A Brief History of Seven Killings'

New Delhi: Jamaican author Marlon James has won the 2015 Man Booker Prize. He is the first Jamaican author to win the award for Fiction for his book 'A Brief History of Seven Killings' according to a report by The Times of India.

The 44-year-old quipped, "This is so surreal. I feel like I may wake up tomorrow and find all this was a dream."

the 680-page book is based on the real life attempted assassination of Bob Marley in the 1970s. It also details the Jamaican politics “through the lens of reggae music”
