Navratri 2016 colour code: Dazzle in white today – Check out fashion tips

Mumbai: Every year during Navratri, a certain colour code is followed on each of the nine days. This year, the colour for the third day is white. So all you need to choose the best white attire from your wardrobe and give it a festive twist.

In this post, we will share a few fashion tips with you so that you can steal the show this evening and make heads turn:

1. If you have a white salwar kameez, team it up with silver or oxidised jewellery. Go for simple make-up. Don’t overdo your eyes. Simply put eyeliner on the upper eyelids and leave it at just that. Add glamour by going for a bright red or a shade of lipstick that suits your complexion. A stone bindi will add the sparkle.
2. If you have a white sharara or ghaghra choli, team it with pearl jewellery. Wear white bangles either made of glass or metal. Where a tiny diamond bindi. You will be all set for the Dandiya night.
3. If you have a white sari, go for a contrasting blouse colour -red, bright navy blue or dark green will enhance your appearance. Team it up with jewellery that matches your blouse. Else, you can also opt for gold jewellery. You may wear fresh gajra to give your hairdo a traditional appeal.
4. Last but not the least, if you don’t have any of the above mentioned garments, then go for a white kurta and a pair of blue denims. Wear a koti/jacket adorned with mirrors or embroidery else drape a multi-coloured dupatta around your neck stylishly.
