The festival of Navratra, calls for Dandia and Dandia nights are incomplete without a perfect-looking you! But, to attain perfect beauty you have to set your makeup basics right. Also, you can add a dash of pop to your look by adding some in-fashion colors to your makeup – as this season – colorful means cheerful! To make your task easier, Permanent Makeup expert and Executive Director of ALPS Beauty Clinics, Ms. Gunjan Gaur, reveals just the right tricks and hues for your Dandia Makeup!

Prepare it well:

Start-off with applying a primer for longer-lasting retention of all the makeup products. Using mattyfying, gel-based primers is recommended to fill-in all the pores and pits of your face – in order to make it appear smoother and ready for perfect base-application. These primers are silicon-based and help the skin retain a silky-soft touch. Wait until the primer gets completely absorbed into the skin; now apply a waterproof base onto your face in order to prevent sweating in this atmosphere of festivities. For this, just apply a soufflé or studio fix foundation after wetting the sponge – blend perfectly for a satin-soft finish and keep it in your bag too for future touch-ups. Also, if you have dark spots on your face, do not forget to conceal them with the help of a quality concealer.

Glow with Festive Flush:

Blushers bring out the warmth of your face by infusing a fresh-glow to your makeup. Go for a blush-on in pink hue if you’re fair; or settle down for a peach one if you’re a bit on the duskier/wheat-ish side. Contour with a dark brown shade of blusher on the edges of your nose – over the chin to camouflage your double-chin and endow your face with a chiseled look this Dandias. Also, one must not forget to highlight the cheek-bones with the same color to let all the eyes stuck on you!

A dash of pop to your peepers…

Graphic eyeliners are in huge rage these days, especially since major fashion icons were seen sporting various such geometric shapes on various occasions. And, there are no color restrictions when it comes to coloring your eyes; right from greens and blues to white and purple, you can have them all! You may also use complimenting shades of eye shadows too to complete your “colorful” look. Try keeping the shadow neutral, beige or tan, to make your colored liner pop-out. You may go for hues like; Purples, Blues and Pinks, if you have blue eyes. Brown eyed people should go for Blue, Green, Purple and Bronze shaded liners. Whereas, eye makeup in Pink, Peach and Green hues are awesome for Jet Black Eyes. Small-eyed people can apply white streak of kohl on you waterline to make it appear big and beautiful.

Just Choose Right:

The color of your lips should be inversely proportional to the contrast your eye-do. So, if you are brightly decked-up on your eyes you lips should be nude or if it is subtle; you may round upon few frosty shades of lip colors like; salmon and baby pink, caramel and cappuccino brown to let your Dandia look grab nothing less than ten-on-ten! Also, don’t forget to seal the look with a lip-sealer too. This sealer would allow you to ditch you gloss too; by infusing a natural, needed sheen on your pout.

Nail It:

Fill –in some festivity your nails too by splashing few poppy hues of neon shades onto them. Hot Pinks, Luminous Reds, Poppy Oranges, Gleaming Greens, Brilliant Yellows…the market is filled with all the naily brightness possible. Dandia is the only occasion, probably in which black dots/bindis can be flaunted with innate grace – that too over any part of body. These dots add a dash of girly charm when drawn in a proper manner on chin, corners of the eyes, forehead, wrist, ankle or arms. Plus, they also give a Bollywood feel to any attire – so be ready to flaunt the diva in you this Dandia!
