Los Angeles: Hollywood star Drew Barrymore began her career at the age of seven, but the actress says she will not let her daughters get into acting until they are 18.
Barrymore, 40, who has two daughters, three-year-old Olive, and Frankie, 18 months with husband, Will Kopelman, says she does not have any issue with them getting into acting, reported People magazine.
The "50 First Dates" actress said she will support them "one hundred percent," but not at young age.
"Not even a little. Not until they're 18. I know it sounds crazy, but I want them to be kids. But I would by no means poo-poo a thing I love so much!," she said.
The actress has penned down her life experience in her book "Wildflower" and shared intimate stories ? from working on the ET set with director and mentor Steven Spielberg to lifelong friendship with Adam Sandler and Cameron Diaz.
"It was such a private, quiet thing to write the book. It was just for me. My girlfriends aren't even in it enough as far as I'm concerned because they are such a big part of my life.
"They seem like just my friends, but my friends were like my first family. But it was a very quiet thing. I really dedicate it to my kids."
