It's good to dream and work on how to achieve them: PM Modi at ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha'

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is holding a live interactation with students, teachers and parents via video conferencing for the ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha 2021’. The event is being on Wednesday (April 7, 2021) in a virtual mode due to restrictions posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. 

In this fourth edition of the interaction programme, PM Modi will answer the questions of students and interact with them about how they can beat examination stress.

* "It's good to see dreams but to sit with those dreams and to sleep for those dreams is not right. Students should move forward from their dreams and work on how to achieve them." said PM Modi.

* "Students must be given values by their parents and family but sometimes we need to self-evaluate the situation. We create a mold and try to fit in our kids. We connect it to our social status and create a parameter. We force them to fulfill our aspirations and end up treating our kids as instruments", Prime Minister Modi. 

* "We believe that girls and boys are equal but we end up treating both differently at home. This can bring difference in the attitude of both of them. This can create a conflict in children's mind", Prime Minister Modi. 

* "Parents must see that they are not trying to impose their thinking on their children", PM Modi.

* "Students must make of their free time in a productive way. They can help their family members and can spend time in recreational activities that provide happiness", says PM Modi. 

* "Creativity can lead students to undiscovered paths", says Prime Minister. 

* "Students must cater to the difficult subjects initially and attempt them with a fresh mind and then focus on the easier topics," Prime Minister Modi said.

* Prime Minister Narendra Modi advises students to distribute their time equally over all the subjects.

* "Parents must take interest in their children's lives," Prime Minister says. 

* "I am afraid of certain subjects and are unable to read them instead of trying. This is due to my fear of the exams", asks Punya Sunya, a Class 11 Student from Vivekananad Kendra Vidyalaya, Arunachal Pradesh  

* Exams are an opportunity to test ourselves and allow us to perform better in our lives.

On Tuesday, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said that nearly lakhs of students will connect with PM Modi and can ask him questions about exam-related stress. "On Wednesday at 7 pm, 32 channels of Swayam Prabha including Doordarshan and various platforms of government will telecast the programme live," he said.
