Honour killing in Delhi: Man, who eloped with his cousin, stabbed 14 times, killed
The man, 35, was already married and was living with his wife and three children in Delhi's Seemapuri. He was in a relationship with the woman.

NEW DELHI: In a suspected case of honour killing, a 32-year-old man and his 23-year-old girlfriend were attacked and stabbed by two men in Delhi's Mayur Vihar on Friday evening.
While the man, identified as Dinesh, died on the spot, the woman, who was severely injured, and is undergoing treatment at Delhi's Lal Bahadur Shastri hospital.
The woman is said to be in a critical state, said a report.
The couple were travelling in an app-based cab near Dallupura, in east Delhi, when they were stabbed dozens of times by the men. While the deceased, Dinesh, was stabbed 14 times, the women was attacked 11-12 times with a knife.
According to police, the accused are woman's uncle and brother by relation.
The woman, 23-year-old, reported eloped with the man, with whom she was in a relationship for some time. The duo was planning to get married, the police said adding despite that the couple were distantly related and were cousins.
The police further added that the man, 35, was already married and was living with his wife and three children in Seemapuri. The woman used to live with her family in east Delhi's Patparganj.
After the woman's family got to know about the relationship, they rebuked her and arranged a match for her. However, this did not go down with the couple and they decided to elope.
On Friday, the woman escaped from her house with some gold ornaments and cash. As per the two accused, she reportedly did this on the instructions of Dinesh.
The two accused, somehow, managed to track down the duo who were eloping in an app-based cab and started following them.
As soon as Dinesh stopped and stepped out of the cab, reportedly to relieve himself when the accused waylaid and stabbed him repeatedly till he fell on the ground. Later, they also attacked the woman who was sitting in the cab.
A home guard, who was posted in the nearby area, upon hearing the scream, rushed to her rescue where he caught hold both the accused.
The police arrested both the accused from the scene of the crime.
The murder is being seen as yet another example of honour killing.
During the interrogation, one of the accused told police that they decided to commit the crime to avenge the humiliation faced by the woman's family after her elopement with the man.
