Earlier on Monday, a 10-year-old student in Pune was allegedly thrashed by his school teacher after he failed to provide the details of his Aadhaar card in school.

The beat up was such that the kid had to undergo a surgery following the brutal act. He suffered a serious injury in his knee.

The incident took place in Morya Shikshan Sanstha situated in Chinchwad area.

In September, a teacher in Kanpur was sacked for mercilessly hitting a student with a wooden duster in the classroom, resulting in a fracture in his hand.

The incident took place in Stepping Stones School in the city. The teacher was reportedly angry with the student for chatting with his classmates during the class hour.
