New Delhi: One of the greatest thinkers and philosophers the world ever witnessed, Swami Vivekananda had a short yet unforgettable glorious life journey continues to inspire us even after so many years.

The philosophical guru's birthday (January 12) is marked as the National Youth Day in the country, as he is an epitome of inspiration for young India.

Odisha-based noted sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik took to Twitter and shared the breathtaking sand art tribute he paid to the illuminary personality at Puri beach.

His had a message for the youth of the country saying, “"Youth Power, Unite for #NewIndia” as Swami Vivekananda is hailed as the youth icon.

Vivekananda was born as Narendranath Dutta into an aristocratic Bengali family of Calcutta. He was born on January 12, 1863, and died on July 4, 1902—lived until the age of 39. In this short span of time, Swami Vivekananda made a rich contribution in inspiring young minds not just in the country but across the globe.
