Ganpati Visarjan: Lalbaugcha Raja Live darshan 2017—Watch

New Delhi: The ten-day long festivity of Ganpati Mahotsav starts with Ganesh Chaturthi and finally comes to an end on Anant Chaturdashi. Today happens to be the final day of bidding adieu to dear Lord Vinayaka amid much pomp and aplomb.

On Anant Chaturdashi, devotees who earlier got their Bappa home, immerse the Ganpati idols in the nearby sea, lakes or rivers. During this procession, the Ganpati bhakts come out in huge numbers dancing and enjoying the tunes of devotional Bappa songs. Devotees bid an emotional adieu to Lord Gajanana only with the promise of welcoming him again next year. Chants of 'Ganpati Bappa Morya Pudhchya Varshi Lavkar Ya' reverberate the surroundings.
