Ollie Pope's innings was cut short by a brilliant catch by India captain Rohit Sharma in England's 2nd innings on Day 4 of the 2nd Test in Visakhapatnam. Ashwin bowled very close to the stumps but the batter, in the attacking mode, still wanted to cut the shot. But he ended up edging it and the ball flew quickly to Rohit's left side at the shoulder height. The Hitman was quick in his reflexes to hold on to it. There was no limit to the happiness of Ashwin as finally he was able to send back Pope to the hut.

Later on, it was learnt that Rohit had less than a second to take this catch. India cricketer and commentator for this series, Dinesh Karthik, informed the viewers on air that the ball flew to Rohit in just 0.45 seconds. To react so quickly certainly makes Rohit one of the best slip fielders in the world.

Indi had picked up three wickets on the Day 4 morning by the time of writing of this article. Axar Patel has removed Rehan Ahmd while Ashwin dismissed Ollie Pope and Joe Root. England looked to employ Bazball to good effect on morning of Day 4 but some of the batter went into over-attacking mode and lost their wickets. At the same time, opener Zak Crawly did well to smash a fifty.

It required a Pope to help England make a strong comeback in the 2nd innings of the first Test in Hyderabad. Crawley was seen doing the same on Day 4 at time of writing of this article. He was attacking the spinners by his strong front foot game. Crawley was seen dancing down the track and use his long lands to reach the pitch of the ball. He had hit many fours straight down the ground.

Jasprit Bumrah had bowled superbly in the first innings of the Vizag Test and India pin hopes on him for another good outing with the ball in the 2nd innings. Bumrah started off the proceedings on morning of Day 4 but his first spell did not yeild any results although he did pass the outside edge of the likes of Crawly and Rehan Ahmed on some occasions. India need a win in 2nd Test to draw levels. This is a five-match series but India will like a win in Vizag to ensure they are on the right track. A loss can heavily dent them in the World Test Championship (WTC) points table as well.
