Watch: Bee stings Quinton de Kock, prevents stumping, saves Australia

Australia's controversial tour of South Africa saw a light moment on Day 2 of the fourth Test in Johannesburg, which brought smiles on everybody's face but wasn't pleasant for wicketkeeper Quinton de Kock who was stung by a bee, which prevented him from completing a stumping chance.

The Aussies were struggling at 91/4 when the bizarre incident saw Shaun Marsh and Australia having a narrow escape.

Marsh jumped out of his crease to a Keshav Maharaj delivery that was flighted in the air by the South African spinner but the batsman missed the line. However, de Kock, who seemed in position to collect the ball and remove the bails, couldn't complete the stumping as a bee stung him on the left arm just when the ball hit his gloves.

In the previous over, De Kock took a stunning catch to dismiss Usman Khawaja but was prevented by the bee from contributing in another dismissal to put the visitors in further trouble.

The Aussies, however, slipped to 110/6 at the close of play on Saturday, in response to South Africa's first-innings total of 488.

The hosts lead the four-match series 2-1 and need only a draw to beat Australia in a home series for the first time since 1969/70.

It has been a troublesome tour for Australia, who saw captain Steve Smith, vice-captain David Warner and batsman Cameron Bancroft sent home and subsequently banned for 12 months by Cricket Australia for their role in a deliberate attempt to cheat by tampering with the ball during the third Test of the series.
