New Delhi: After India defeated New Zealand in the 3rd Test at Indore by 321 runs, former Indian opener Virender Sehwag had something special stored for the fans.

India whitewashed New Zealand 3-0 in the series, with Ravichandran Ashwin as the chief architect. He took 13 wickets in the match and total 27 wickets in the series.

Here's how Viru congratulated Ashwin on achieving this feat:-

Sehwag in his witty style praised the off-spinner and said that Ashwin understands the urgency of going home early (the matched ended one day early) as he is a married man.

The historic day in Indian cricket, which saw the team clinching the ICC Test Championship Mace coincided with two seperate ocasions – Batting coach Sanjay Bangar's birthday and Dussehra festival - which converted into a triple bonanza for Sehwag followers.

Earlier, Sehwag had wished Bangar Happy Birthday and sent Dussehra greetings in the most typical Sehwag-ish way.

Bangar who represnted India in 12 Tests and 15 One Day Internationals, also had a century to his name in the longer format of the game. On January 2013, the Maharashtra-born announced his retirement, after serving his country for 20 years.

As the whole of India clebrated the VijayDashmi, how could have Sehwag ignored it.

"Dasha Hara'means removal of 10 bad qualities from within us. #Vijayadashami means Victory over these 10 qualities.May we Win #HappyDussehra," said Sehwag

Sehwag is currently part of the hindi commentary team for the on-going India-New Zealand Test series. Though he was not part of the team in the 1st match at Kanpur, he joined them in the 2nd Test at Kolkata where India became the number one Test team.

Viru produced some magical Pun-liners throughout the series for the viewers. Some of them tweeted that they switched to Hindi commentary beacuse of him. They also said that you don't need anything to revive Test cricket, just bring Viru in the comm box.

There was also a ritual during this Test series, commentators wore a hat before predicting something of their own. Sehwag sometimes got it terribly wrong during the series.

Officialy, India are number one in the ICC Test Rankings after winning the 3rd Test match at Indore by 321 runs and clean sweeping the Kiwis. A long home season awaits for the hosts, as there are 10 more matches to go.
