Shoaib Akhtar wants food investigated for Pakistan's horrific fielding efforts against Australia in Sydney

New Delhi: Shoaib Akhtar on Sunday blamed the food for Pakistan poor outing against Australia. The former fast-bowler came up with an unusual and cheeky way of criticism as the visitors were handed yet another sound thrashing Down Under.

Pakistan once again endured a forgettable outing, losing the fourth ODI match against Australia by 86 runs while chasing a mammoth 354 run target – a score made possible following dropped catches and poor ground fielding.

At Sydney Cricket Ground, Australia rode on David Warner's 130 off 119 to set a target of 353. And with the 86-run win, Australia have taken an unassailable 3-1 lead in the five match series.

Earlier, Pakistan were blanked 0-3 in the Test series by the hosts.

Shocked and aghast, the former fast-bowler took to Twitter, and demanded that Pakistan Cricket Board should investigate the food the team was eating.

"Guess we shud investigate d food Pakistan r having at SCG. Never seen so many fumbles n drops in one innings. Oily food? Butter fingers?" he wrote.

His demand may sound ludicrous, but Pakistan poor fielding has become an epidemic. In the third ODI too, Pakistani fielders were at fault for dropping and conceding easy runs.

Yesterday, on the eve of the match, Pakistan's chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq blamed the fatigue factor for their defeats.
