New Delhi: The DRS controversy might have taken all the joy out India's 75-run win in the second Test match against Australia, but the hosts are busy getting ready for the third match.
And one individual who's been doing overtime is coach Anil Kumble. With stakes getting bigger, the former India was seen bowling left arm spin, but nobody knew the real reason behind such an unique practice session.
The Indian cricket board on Friday shared a couple of videos, first one with Kumble throwing down left arm spin, then hours later, followed it up another one wherein Cheteshwar Pujara was seen defending vigourously to Kumble's deliveries.
Then, came the revelation. Pujara, in the video, revealed that it was done to simulate the bowling of Aussie bowlers Mitchell Starc and Steve O'Keefe — both left-handed bowlers.
Starc has been ruled with a stress fracture, but O'Keefe will still be a threat. The spinner was the destroyer in chief in the first Test, which was won by Australia.
Third Test will be played at Ranchi, starting March 16.
