MS Dhoni chosen as skipper of ICC's men's ODI, T20I teams of decade, Virat Kohli captains Test side; check playing XIs

Dubai: The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Sunday (December 27, 2020) chose India's Mahendra Singh Dhoni as the skipper for men's ODI and T20I teams of the decade.

Besides MSD, Indian current skipper Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma also featured in the ICC Men's ODI team of the decade.

In ICC Men's T20I Team of the decade, there were four Indians including MSD namely Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah. Virat Kohli has also been picked up to lead the ICC Men's Test Team of the decade, where he also has his fellow teammate R Ashwin.

On Monday, the winners of the ICC Awards of the Decade including the Rachel Heyhoe-Flint for Best Female Player and Sir Garfield Sobers for Best Male Player will be announced. 

The ICC Awards of The Decade that recognise the best players across cricket over the past 10 years, invited fans to vote for the first time by selecting the winners across categories including the Sir Garfield Sobers and Rachael Heyhoe Flint Awards.

"More than 1.5 million fans from across the globe participated casting 5.3 million votes," said ICC.

The list of nominees for Sir Garfield Sobers Award for ICC Male Cricketer of the Decade – The best overall performer in men's international cricket (Tests, ODIs and T20Is) during the performance period:
