Despite struggling with their batting towards the end of their innings, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) redeemed themselves with a remarkable display of bowling in their match against Delhi Capitals. Their bowling attack, which has been criticized for not performing up to the mark, proved their detractors wrong on this occasion. In the powerplay itself, Mohammed Siraj and Wayne Parnell bowled brilliantly to reduce the Capitals to 4/3. The debutant Vijaykumar Vyshak was the star of the show, producing a splendid spell. He dismissed David Warner, who was starting to look dangerous, and then Axar Patel, who had been in good form. The icing on the cake was the wicket of Manish Pandey, who was trapped LBW by Wanindu Hasaranga, who hadn't been having a great game until then.
