The rain has returned in Southampton and the covers are back on the ground.There is lightning in the area so groundstaff have also left the field. We are possibly entering calling-off-day territorry. 

Pakistan reached the score of 126 for five in their first-innings against England before rain once again stopped the play on the opening day of the second Test in Southamptom.Pakistan 126/5 (45.4 overs)

WICKET!! Pakistan have now lost their fifth wicket after Asad Shafiq (5) and Fawad Alam (0) fell cheaply. While Shafiq was caught by Dom Sibley at third slip off a Stuart Broad delivery in 43rd over, Fawad was taken leg before wicket off a Chris Woakes delivery in 44th over.Pakistan 120/5 (44 overs)

WICKET!! Abid Ali departed for 60 after being taken by Joe Burns at slip on the fourth ball of the 38th over from Sam Curran. Pakistan have now lost their third wicket in the first-innings.Pakistan 104/3 (39 overs)

Abid Ali (54) has brought up a half-century, while Babar Azam is currently batting at 12 as Pakistan have crossed the 100-run mark in their first-innings against England after play resumed after rain. Pakistan 102/2 (37.3 overs)

It has stopped raining in Southampton and the umpires are out in the middle, with head groundsman Simon Lee. Tea will take place at  at 8.15 pm (3.45 pm local time), with a further inspection at 8.30 p.m IST (3.45 pm local).

Opener Abid Ali (30) and captain Azhar Ali (13) continue to stand strong at the crease as Pakistan have crossed 50-run mark in their first-innings.England, on the other hand, are looking to break this partnership. Pakistan 52/1 (20.1 overs)

Abid Ali and Azhar Ali are currently batting at the crease at their respective scores of 11 and seven. The duo is looking to stitch a crucial stand after losing opener Shan Masood cheaply for one run. Pakistan 34/1 (12 overs)

Skipper Azhar Ali is the new batsman in for Pakistan!

WICKET!! James Anderson gave an early breakthrough to England by trapping opener Shan Masood leg before wicket on the second ball of the third over. Pakistan 6/1 (2.6 overs)
