New Delhi: It was coming. But nobody knew the scale of it. Indian captain Virat Kohli, often criticised for taking things too seriously which reflected in his on-field behaviour, seemed to have the last laugh on the infamous mocking controversy.
On Day 4 of the third Test of the ill-tempered India-Australia series in Ranchi, a fired-up Kohli was seen giving Aussie opener David Warner an animated send-off.

The skipper was waiting for such a moment to make the Aussies known who's the boss. And that moment arrived rather too soon, as Ravindra Jadeja clean bowled Warner early in the Aussie second innings.
A jubilant Indian team gathered to celebrate the wicket, but Kohli was in a different mood. He gestured at his shoulder, then gripped it with his left hand, even was Warner walked past the fielders.
