Aussies, especially Nathan Lyon, will be looking to continue from where he left after helping the visitors claim four wickets in the final session of second day to halt India's progress and restrict them to 248 for six at stumps.
India were looking solid, with ever-reliant Cheteshwar Pujara and stand-in skipper Ajinkya Rahane batting as the team total read 157/2 and were hoping to continue building a strong partnership before Lyon (4/67) utilised the bounce in Dharmsala Pitch and started sending Indian batsmen back to pavilion one after the other, starting right after the tea break.
In the first over of the final session, Lyon sent back Pujara for 57 and then went on to dismiss Karun Nair, Ajinkya Rahane and Ravichandran Ashwin to send shockwaves across Indian dressing room.
Heading into Day 3, India will be looking to chase down 52 runs quickly to cross Australia's first innings total of 300. Wriddhiman Saha and Ravindra Jadeja's know how crucial their partnership will be in India's hopes of claiming a lead in this match, and anything short of the target will give Australia a clear advantage in the deciding encounter.
