IND vs AUS: Mitchell Johnson takes a dig at Virat Kohli & Co, says hosts will be nervous heading into final Test

New Delhi: Former Australia speedster Mitchell Johnson, who has had plenty of Twitter altercations with Indian fans about the way he perceives the ongoing series, took to the micro-blogging site yet again after the Ranchi Test concluded in a draw.

Johnson had earlier taken a dig at Anil Kumble for his comment on Steve O'Keefe after the spinner took 8 wickets against India in Pune.

In the post match press conference, Australian captain Steve Smith also said that India would have expected to bowl out the visitors but that just didn't happen.

Traditionally, the Dharamsala pitch offers a lot more to pace bowlers than the Pune, Bengaluru or Ranchi venues did and Aussies will be looking to captialise and seal the series with a victory, but Virat Kohli and Co. will be as determined if not more following some incredible all-round performance in the third Test which almost saw them pull off an incredible victory with an innings to spare.

The Ranchi Test witnessed a resolute rearguard action by Peter Handscomb and Shaun Marsh helped Australia escape with a remarkable draw against India on the final day of the third test on Monday.

Having conceded a 152-run first innings lead, the tourists were reeling when skipper Steve Smith departed, leaving his team at 63-4 with more than two sessions to go and the hosts confident of a win.

But Handscomb and Marsh battled on through the entire second session to first erase the deficit and then ensure Australia were safe by the time they were separated.

Handscomb made 72 not out, his third test fifty, to help Australia finish on 204 for six before the players shook hands.

Marsh made 53, the duo frustrating India for nearly four hours with a dour 124-run stand to shatter the hosts` chances of going 2-1 up in the four-test series.
