Harbhajan Singh shocked by horrific west Delhi child rape, calls for strict action

New Delhi: Ace India spinner Harbhajan Singh, now a father to a daughter, on Sunday called for strict action against the culprit who abducted and raped an 11-month infant in Vikaspuri, Delhi.

The veteran offie took to Twitter to share his condemned the crime and asked if perpetrators of such heinous crimes "are really humans?'

"Shocking...are they actually humans? I feel animals r better than us.. Very very strict action needs to be taken," he tweeted.

The infant was allegedly abducted and raped by her neighbour, a 36-year-old who works as a construction labourer at the office-cum-residential complex of Delhi Police's 3rd battalion.

The crime was committed late on Friday, and victim's mother informed the police when around 11pm.

Only yesterday, Harbhajan and his wife Geeta Barsa revealed the name of their newly-born daughter.
